Auctions This work appeared twice in Modern and Contemporary Art sales, at Christie's Amsterdam, in 1992: first as Lot 220, on Tuesday 19th May, with an estimate of 25-35,000 GLDR, bought in; and then as Lot 281 on Thursday 10th December, with a lower estimate of 10-15,000 GLDR, when it sold for 13,800 GLDR.
Notes LH notes, "A black and white photograph of this work is held in the un-catalogued Paule Vezelay Collection at the Tate Archives. On the back of the photograph the work is dated as 1955-56. It also states details of the paintings colours: cadmium lemon yellow, cobalt blue.
